How do you play rhythmic parrot?
profile
-The 1st set of beats establishes the rhythm,
-The 2nd set is what you are supposed to mimic,
-The 3rd set reminds you of the established rhythm (established in the 1st set),
-The 4th set is where you are supposed to mimic the beat from the 2nd set.

--So, the only set you are supposed to do anything is on the 4th set :)

Looks like it is best on a keyboard

If you use your phone/tablet, just tap anywhere in the black section--but yeah, you are right--better with a space bar on an actual keyboard

The Parrot broke my spacebar in two, months ago, but it somehow keeps working. Both parts. 😅

I actually would rather play the rhythm games on my iPad. Space bar is clunky and in higher levels just can’t tap it fast enough.

I sometimes use an Apple Pencil on the iPad… but frankly have stopped playing both rhythmic games b/c the patterns were just unrealistic and some “poly-rhythms.” Nothing I am going to use in my musical life.

@Cuantas Vacas - Ha! That is a bummer and I will keep that in mind as I pound my spacebar 😜

@Ken Wilkens - I could see that working well on an iPad with a pencil! And I get what you mean about some of the rhythms, but I think it's still good to keep in mind that altering the placement of a beat even by an 8th or 16th note can add some funk or a different feel. I know what you mean though about likely not using those beats in real life
