Hi there!
I'm doing Solfegiator exercises and I feel like the analyzer is too lousy, it accepts wrong notes even if I know I missed the note, I remember the issue recently that it was too strict to accept answers, but now it's accepts almost everything. Am I only one who experiencing it?

That has not been my experience I like the Solfegiator exercise analyzer the way it is now.

I think I started to notice similar behaviour. I wonder if they tweaked it too much and made it too lenient?

Hi! Starting from Level 35, the phrases become super long, which is hard for me personally to memorize. Do you guys all write down notes for it or just take this one by memory? I would not like to take notes at all if many of you guys are just memorizing it, since I would assume that memorizing would be a part of the training. But if most of you guys are taking notes for it, it just means that this game does not make sense so much! Please help! Thanks!

@Dima G do you mind sharing what other apps you use for that?

@Dima G I'd love to know the app, too. Your comment was so helpful. I struggle with transcription - I know it's really good for my development, but it takes me so long. Doing shorter melodic phrases is something I'm going to try now. Thank you as always for your great advice!

it’s “melodic dictation” in earpeggio on the appstore. unfortunately it’s not without some quirks, for example it’s not possible to switch the key from anything other than white keys. i set the starting note either to C or A, which makes me perceive the melody as either in a major or a minor context.
What's your tip for Inversionist??
I've been struggling for a while.
Just so you know, I don't use instruments when I play Tonegym usually. So if you have any strategies without instrument, I'd love to hear.
Have a nice week anyways!
Best!

I discover this one today.
Find the bottom note and his relation of the tonic .
This help to pass level 1 😅
Maybe is not so helpful 😕

@ZAYE Kokou Abel that's what I'm focusing on as well. I am doing better. I also use the scale at the bottom right of the screen to replay each chord.

I don't have particular songs for those, but I have some bodily movements/facial expressions that I think of, ha! Bear with me, because these get more abstract 😜

Minor is sort of a longing feel, like tilting your head and looking off into the distance to remember your lost love.

Diminished is sort of uneasy, like the cringe face while tip toeing across eggshells trying not to crack them.

Augmented is more evil or sinister, like Dracula walking into the room and raising his hand with a commanding twist.

I'm a little weird, I know, but it works for me 😊

You can use the Chord Player in the Tools, to go back and forth to hear the differences too, that helps.

Hey! We do art. No one is weird under music world imo!lol
More than that, it’s really helpful and interesting. I actually noticed that I often make face reactions when people play out of diatonic scale especially improvisation parts. So I’m looking forward to try your method!
Thank you again Brian!

The human ear is sensitive to top notes, so it is a prerequisite to actively play games that distinguish between interval and two-tone chord types in order to cultivate an ear sensitive to intervals, the two attributes of major and minor chords, and perfect pitch.

As you gain more experience with this, you will be able to isolate one tone or two or more groups of tones, which will make it easier for you to make a guess.

As a concrete clue, the perfect fifth degree is more prominent in the no-transposition, the perfect fourth degree in the first transposition, and the minor third or major third in the second transposition than in the no-transposition.

Since listening to inverted chords and transcribing is one of the more difficult tasks, it is recommended to download free MIDI files created by professional composers and performers and analyze them in parallel to speed up the pace of improvement of your identification ability.

By the way, you can easily check the sound by using synths or samplers in smartphone apps or free plug-ins for PC.
